100% Pure’s Sales on Alibaba Create Jobs in the U.S.

After several years of success in the U.S. and $30 million in annual sales, 100% Pure Founder and CEO Ric Kostick turned to Alibaba to grow his cosmetics business in China. Since opening a flagship store on Alibaba’s Tmall Global platform in 2017, 100% Pure has grown revenues by 20% to 30% annually.

“Alibaba helped get our (global) business off the ground,” Kostick said. “It seems daunting to enter the China market, but it’s relatively not that hard because everyone buys through Alibaba’s Tmall.”

As a result of increased global sales, 100% Pure has grown to over 160 employees. Kostick anticipates Alibaba’s sales will continue to grow even further: “I’ve seen what they can do. They haven’t let me down, and I expect big things in the coming years.”
